Professor Thomas Starzl was awarded the prize for his pioneering role in liver transplantation, which made his hospital a training and qualification factory for a number of famous liver transplant surgeons. His contributions in the field of liver functions, cell growth, transplantation requirements, treatment of rejection by the body, re-transplantation after rejection, and suitability for the future person played a key role in the success of liver transplantation worldwide. It has notable contributions in the field of inhibiting the body’s immunity to the transplanted organ and the immunity of the organ itself, the development of serums against lymphocytes, and the use and replacement of cyclosporine. He was the first to use liver transplantation from animals to humans. He established and managed a research institute, which is one of the most prominent research centers in the field of organ transplantation in the world.
