Setting out from King Faisal Prize’s (KFP) keenness to support and develop effective ways of cooperation in the cultural field and knowledge exchange between cultures, KFP has completed, in cooperation with the Paris-based Institut du Monde Arabe, a project called ‘One Hundred and One Books’ under the co-patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Chairman of the King Faisal Prize Foundation and Mr. Jacques Lang, the President of l’Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.
The project consists of two parts: The first part is directed to the Arabic reader; it introduces French scholars and writers. The second part is directed to the French reader; it introduces Arab scholars and writers who have contributed to the exchange between the Arab and French cultures.
