The Fourth Conference, titled “The Year of Arabic Poetry 2023: Authenticity of Heritage and Universality of Impact,” organized by the Department of Arabic Language and Literature in collaboration with the King Faisal Prize, aims to contribute to the study of Arabic poetry in the context of contemporary challenges. The conference seeks to address the phenomenon of poetry in an interdisciplinary manner, elucidate the vital role of poetry in enriching Arab culture throughout the ages, highlight the civilizational and historical roots of poetic heritage in the Arabian Peninsula, explore the investment potential of Arabic poetry, and underscore its active role in cultural tourism. Additionally, it aims to value the achievements of Arabic poetry and showcase its modernity and global significance.
