Professor Miqdad Yalcin was awarded the prize for his outstanding contributions in attempting to base education on the foundations of the Holy Quran and Hadiths according to clear and specified terminologies; fulfilling the educational requirements while diagnosing educational aspects; taking in hand the targets of Islamic education and its development using the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s Hadiths; identifying basic Islamic education aspects that lead to the development of a Muslim character, keeping in mind the development of the whole Islamic nation; and intelligently criticising certain western thought aspects dealing with Islamic education.
