The translation project of the Holy Quran interpretation in Sign Language (Tebyan Quran) aims to serve individuals who rely on sign language as their primary means of communication and information reception. To achieve the goals and phases of this project, Liajlehum Association for Serving People with Disabilities took the initiative to sign a contract with the Authority of People with Disabilities to complete the project. The electronic application for Tebyan Quran has been developed with the foundational structure built. The application has been launched on the Apple Store and Google Store with the support of the General Authority for Endowments.
The website and application of (Tebyan Quran) for the deaf is an interactive Quran designed specifically for individuals who are deaf or hearing impaired across all age groups (children, students, and adults). Tebyan Quran interprets the Holy Quran using innovative methods and advanced technologies enabling users to reflect on the Holy Quran and understand its meanings. Through a modern and advanced application, it meets their needs and supports teachers and educators in teaching them the meanings of the Holy Quran. It also offers a wide range of interactive visuals to help the largest possible segment of the deaf community understand the meanings of the Holy Quran through sign language translations.
Tebyan Project has received the (Service Path) award in the Ammar Award at the Gulf level, as well as the Princess Nourah Award in the field of Human Studies. The project has also participated in numerous international exhibitions.
This project is one of the initiatives by the Liajlehum Association for Serving People with Disabilities. The association was established in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in 2000, and for over a quarter of a century, it has been providing diverse services to this class of society. It works to advocate for and support their causes, families, and related entities, while promoting the exchange of expertise and fostering partnerships with relevant organizations to empower people with disabilities within the community, aiming to enhance their quality of life and integrate them as active members of society.
