The High Commission for Donations to Bosnia-Herzegovina was awarded the prize for its significant work in establishing relief programs that supported the Bosnia-Herzegovina government against its enemy, provided food, medicine, and clothings for its people, and built refugee camps. The commission also started social support programs, which included rent payments, electricity and heaters coverage, financial assistance, and orphans foster homes. It established construction programs that built and refurbished mosques, schools, colleges, and homes. It also started education programs, which built educational plans and curriculums, printed books and copies of the Holy Quran, granted educational scholarships, and covered Quran teachers payrolls.
