- كل من قام بدراسة علمية أصيلة في موضوع الجائزة المعلن ونشرها فنتج عنها فائدة ملحوظة ونفع للمسلمين، وحققت هدفاً أو أكثر من أهداف الجائزة
- يراعى في منح جائزة الدراسات الإسلامية المواضيع ذات الأَهمّية الواضحة في المجتمع الإسلامي، وذلك وفقاً لتقدير لجنة الاختيار وحكمها
